SMF Version: SMF 1.1 RC1
Hi guys!

Has anyone managed to make a succesful conversion from YaBB 2.0?

I've put some effort on this one, but yet with no luck.
I've managed to overcome the "normal problems" (primary key deletion error: $_GET --> $_REQUEST and many other small prob's)

Anyone with more luck than me?

H

I assume that you did use the converters for yabb 2 (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=38966.0)?

If you did what errors are you getting?

Namecheap (domains)
Fastmail (e-mail)
Linode (VPS)

Omniverse

I've been trying to convert a yabb 2.1 with no luck yet. Using some of the things you've already mentioned.

I don't believe Yabb 2.1 is currently supported.

If you post a database structure dump someone might be able to help you

I've been trying to convert a 2.1...

Can't get past converting the members...
says:
QuoteThis query:

    ALTER TABLE `simplemachines`.smf_members
    DROP PRIMARY KEY,
    CHANGE COLUMN ID_MEMBER ID_MEMBER mediumint(8) unsigned NOT NULL default 0;

Caused the error:

Can't DROP 'PRIMARY'; check that column/key exists

And YaBB doesn't use a database, so you can't exactly show everyone a database dump  ;)

From the first post:

QuoteI've managed to overcome the "normal problems" (primary key deletion error: $_GET --> $_REQUEST and many other small prob's)

So run find and replace to the yabb2_smf.php and replace $_GET with $_REQUEST, should resolve that primary key deletion problem.

YaBB is a flat-file system. YaBB 3 (which is in the early stages of alpha testing) will have MySQL support...
