Is there a mod to select all threads in a board and move them to another? Or lock all threads in a board, or massive delete threads... well you get the picture.

1. What version of smf are you using?
2. I'm using smf 1.1 RC2 and I know for a fact in that version there is a multi-moderation feature.

If you are using smf 1.1, and you want to enable multi-moderation, it is a member-by-member-specific operation. What a person must do (if he/she is a moderator, global mod, etc) is that they must go into their profile, and underneath the category "Modify Profile", there is an option called "Look and Layout Preferences" - you will go ahead and click that.

You will have a new area that comes up with options such as changing the current theme you or another member is using. Well, what you will want to do is to go to the FINAL option, which is called "Show quick-moderation on message index as" - and next to it, there is a drop-down box with three options. On default, this option is "don't show", but there are two other options - "checkboxes" and "icons" - I prefer the "checkboxes" option. This way when you go to, let's say, a board on your forum, you will see checkboxes on the right-most end of each topic listed. You may click as many of the checkboxes as you wish to do the following (this menu being at the bottom of the topic list):

Remove Selected
Lock Topic
Sticky Selected
Move selected to: (and there is an option of where you wish to move it to)
Merge Selected
Mark Selected as Read

Keep in mind, this option must be applied to each moderator on your board, if you have more than one.

You can do that in any version.
You can also set default options in the admin -> themes section.
However, that will only let you select a page at a time. But unless you're planning on locking a few hundred at once it should be fine?

Well someone attacked my forum through another admin's user... (he had an easy to guess password...  ::))... and deleted all of my boards... but not threads. So I was able to salvage the threads... but they are all under a "Salvaged board", so I have about 2,000 threads to move.

edit:

Thanks, btw... This is what I was looking for.

Is this new with 1.1 and 1.0.6?

Dannii

It's in all SMF versions.
2000 threads... unlucky.

Yeah... but I thought I lost them... Then when I click on find errors... they all show up. :D

LOL

but yeah... I didn't want to move them one by one... hehe

Id rather this than have actually lost* them.
