With 1.1.RC2 do we still need SMF mambo intergration mod ?

in changing from 1.0.6 to 1.1.RC2 do we still need the mambo integration mod installed on the SMF board ?

I think i have the correct joomla bridge and have set everything correctly just not sure if we need to delete the mod installed at the SMF side
