« on: March 15, 2004, 10:36:50 AM »
Is there an install FAQ or a step by step ?

Sweet.  One more question.  I have a very extensive database built for my existing YaBBSe Board.  I would like to make a backup of the board, and then install the backup into a fresh database, thus eliminating the threat of ruining my current board.  I can find the export taqs in MySQL but I have no idea how to make a new database from a backup.  Can anyone help me out with this?  Thanks.

This may seem to be a silly question, but I'm a little rusty on permissions and inheritances.  When you CHMOD the Attachments, Packages, and Templates folders, do all the subfolders and files under those need to have their permissions changed as well?

Thanks!

well, if you set a folder to 777, it doesn't also chmod the individual files and sub-folders.  you have to do each.

Installation

Upgrade

These are excellent articles.
But it would be easier if they were included in some kind of readme.txt or upgrade.html in the download as well.

(I searched the zipfile from top to bottom and back for instructions ;-)

I imagine some form of documentation along those lines will be in the actual release package.

i never did find them when installing.  just did it like YaBB SE, and it worked.  didn't even have to set as many permissions :)
