"Create path automatically"--- NOT working... Help!

I am not sure why, in the option for the smf bridge there is an option to create path autoamitcally and that is not working, so i have to put that manually when previously it was working. i had to removed the smf component and now it's not working.

can anyone tell me why sometimes it doesn't give the path automatically?

It's just guessing at a few common locations for forum installations.  Most people put their forum in a folder called "forum" or "smf" or "community", etc.  It looks through a number of those possibilities.

ok, that's weird because it's always been detected automatically but i'm not sure what i do that later on stops detecting it. i was just wondering if any of you guys had an experience like this before.
