Yabb 2.1 to SMF 1.1 RC2 or SM 1.0.6?

Hi

These are newbie question so sorry if they have been asked before.

I have a Yabb 2.1 forum that I would like to convert to SMF. Has anyone successfully done this? I see there is a yabb 2.0 converter on the list of available converters. Is this 2.0 only or will it convert 2.1 as well?

Looks like these are all convertors to SMF 1.1 so I assume I have to have SMF 1.1 running before I run the converter, I have SMF 1.06 running at the moment but it doesn't look like the converter is produced to convert from Yabb to 1.06?

Hope all this make sens, I would be gratefully of your support..

Thanks
M

I don't know if the YaBB 2.0 converter will work with 2.1 or not - best way to find out is to try it (it won't mess up your YaBB data).

I tried myself numerous times, and it just doesn't seem to work

If someone could update the converter, that would be great.  I just don't think that 2.0 and 2.1 are compatible at all.

I can add it to my "to do" list, but it may be a few weeks before I can get to it. I'm busy working on fixing an issue with the IPB2 converter, then I want to try and update my mods for 1.1RC2 and I have another converter to write as well (although that one is really simple).

Alright, that would be excellent.

I'll survive a few more weeks  :)

Hello

Is there any update in this yet?
I too am trying to convert from YaBB2.1 to SMF.
I tried the YaBB2 converter, but with no joy.

Thanks in advance.

same here.  Tried the converter without success.

A converter from YaBB 2.1 would be very appreciated, altho it'd be pretty cool if it worked for RC3 as well. :D

Is there a way to do the conversion manually?
Thanks  :)
