CRON Jobs

Does anyone here know of any good substitute for CRON jobs if my host does not provide it?  There are several good mods out there that I would like to use (like the RSS injector) that require this to work.  Otherwise, is there another way to accomplish this without the cron job if no alternative is available?

How active is your forum? There are a few tweaks to imitate this behaviour.
