Hi,
I've upgraded to I've just upgraded from smf 1.06 to 1-1-rc2. (with the script.js firefox fix and bridge 3.20 with the hot fix) + Joomla 1.08
The old smf url still works (I emptied the trash). Is there a way to redirect the old url mysite.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=110 to the new one mysite.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=174 ?

Hi,
My problem with it is mainly appearance as I have a separate template assigned to my forums page and I can't assign the template to the old link and quite a few have bookmarked it or linked to it as well. The only bit I can see at the bottom of the other post is how to redirect from the standalone forum back into joomla. I tried to do it with a 301 in the htacces but it doesn't want to play, I tried a zillion combinations of this  :D

redirect 301 //index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=110 http://www.me.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=174

no... an htaccess redirect will screw up your system.

If you want to redirect people from your standalone system into your wrapped system, then use the code I posted.
