SMF Version: SMF 1.1 RC2
Hi!,

I posted here, but maybe i shoulsd post in the feature requests board, i'm not sure..

I have read that in order to have the holidays display in another language than english in the calendar, we need to edit the SQL DB directly, but the posts were about 1 year old..
As a matter of fact, if we do so, the calendar will be completely translated to another language, wich is bad if you have users in different languages that must have access to the calendar in their own language...

Is this still true with 1.1RC2? I guess so, since i haven't seen any file with the translated holydays strings anywhere yet.

Could it be feaseable to have those events fetched from a external file, that we could include in our translations,
i mean a file like calendar.french.php with text variables into it, in the form:
$txt['cal_holiday_01']= 'Translated holiday name Here';  ???

so that we can switch language and have the calendar follow the display language of the forum?
