Show new replies to threads you started

Hello.
I've never made a feature request here before because SMF has always had what I wanted, but lately I've finding myself wishing for this feature that I saw in vBulletin's CP.

Basically I would like to be able to look at a list of threads that I started and see (at a glance) if any of these threads have had any replies.

SMF has the "Show nre replies to your posts" feature, which is great and it has the Member Profile > Notifications list of posts but they both don't allow a user to see whether a thread s/he has started actually got any replies, it only allows (in the former case) to see if ANY thread that the poster has contributed to has received any replies or (in the latter case) to see if ANY thread that the poster has subscribed to has received any replies.

In vBulletin's User Control Panel, if you click on List Subscription / View Subscribed Threads there is "some sort" of implementation of that, where they just make the name of the thread bold if it has gotten any posts not yet read by the subscriber.

Ideally what I would like to see in SMF is all three of these links:
Show unread posts since last visit
Show new replies to your posts
Show new replies to threads you started

or something along those lines...
or at least, I'd like to be able to see (in some way) at a glance if a subscribed thread has gotten replies I haven't read yet (for example a "new replies" icon or text next to the thread title?).

Thank you for reading my request.

phpbb has this function and I think it would benefit SMF

I'd rather like this feature, myself.

But, why not just use the "show new replies to your posts"? It will include all topics you started.

I think including all self-started threads in  "show new replies to your posts" would create a list that is too long for those users who post a lot (posting in threads started by other people will make that list very busy and hard to find the threads you started)

I agree. If you post a lot or have posted a lot, but haven't visited in a while, this would be beneficial.

so what are the steps that need to be taken so that developers might eventually see these requests? do they keep an eye on this board or does somebody need to notify them?

H

The developers and staff watch this board frequently although they may be looking a little less at the moment.

The 1.1 release is currently for bug-fixes only and is feature frozen. When 1.1 is released the devs should be on the lookout for new features
