Moving the new post icon.

I was wondering how to move the little new.gif icon that is next to the topic title to the left side of a topic title instead of the right side of the topic title.  I am using the default SMf 1.1 RC2 theme and I have been playing around in Messageindex.template.php because I grepped for new.gif and I found the line that draws it if the message is new, but I can't find how to tell it where to draw that icon.
