Perfect Combo?

i see lot of people and post on all 3 sites SMF/Joomla/Coppermine regarding the perfect combo.

and lot of people do want this all 3 together. i think all 3 communittez should be working together. therefore, bring more fans and more Fun to the whole OPEN SOURCE game.

Joomla - is a nice fast/fun/Feature full portal system. which lacks FORUM.
SMF - well what can i say its the best. phpbb is going down. Needs more attention.
Coppermine - Best free Multimedia gallery out there. with BIG FAN Numbers.

all 3 are Open Souce. and used by many users. if you think this is right combination you should support it so we can have BEST PORTAL SYSTEM.

I'm thinkin' the real meat of the issue isn't that the three would be the perfect combo; it's: what do you do about it?

How to even begin bringing the three together?

SMF is not open source

It has its own licence rules, more strict than phpBB rules.

Does Coppermine not work with a bridged Joomla then?

By all means make a mod however don't distribute the SMF files with it
