Recommend some mods and help answer a few questions.

Hello, I'm new to SMF and so far I'm rather happy with it. So here are a few questions I have.

What are some mod's you recommend?

I'm running version 1.0.7 dose that mean most of the mods wont work for me if they don't list "1.0.7"

Is there a mod that makes the users check there email before they are registered? (like what I had to do for here)

Is there a way to remove the extra icons at the bottom of the forum (myslq.com, hxxp:php.net [nonactive], ect)

Can I change the SMF icon on the top right?

That should do it for now, I also installed the arcade mod and am currently trying to figure out how it add games, the post for that is here..
