Add text or banner between boards

I'm trying to figure out a way of adding a banner or text links betwen the boards. I've figured out how to add banner at top and very bottom by modifying index template but haven't figured out how to do it in the middle. Anyone know how?

Depending on which version of SMF you use, this might help. I use verion 1.07, until verion 1.1 goes gold.

It also depends on the theme you're using.

In some, you can add something in the "Theme management" section, in the box marked "Topbar : (use your own HTML code)". You need to use php code, I believe. Maybe html works, too.

Mine says:

<center><img src=" http://tlakoc.org.uk/TLABanner.gif" usemap="#TLABanner" alt="" style="border-style:none" /></center>

Not all themes have that option, though. With those, you have to edit the indextemplate of the theme, to add that bit of code to.
