When put own logo, using the right place and http in default theme setuo/config, how to remove SMF logo and the blue bar? Now the logo come there but overlapping the old blue and smf logo is still there. This not look very nice.

Like this here, and i would like the smf logo removed. Also my own logo bg and not the blue bar there?

copy your index.template.php

and in the old one look for this

Thanks, where should i put my own logo/banner, like here in this forum at top? Is the place in theme setup ok place?

to be honest its your choice what ive said wont effect your banner much
