Quote is not working

Bridge 1.1.3
Joomla 1.0.7

If I try to quote a message (not using the summary / quick reply), I get redirected to
http://www.taxibalk.net/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=171?action=post;quote=4581;topic=604.0;sesc=62b19d9edc1ee5f580ed1d519eee4af7

And no new message is opened. If I try again after that, quoting works.
But, if I return to the forum index after that, I get redirected to:
http://www.taxibalk.net/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=99999999

This only happens when using the bridge, quoting works fine with the standalone forum. Any thoughts?

Well, that's a good one.  Yes, it is, and I'm ashamed to say that I did have quick reply enabled in my profle, but never thought of that  It works in FF if quick reply is disabled. I did add the code to the template.

Bridge 1.1.3 in Joomla does not require any code addition in the Joomla template....

The problem is definitely javascript-related.  I just received a javascript error in IE after turning on the quick reply on your site.

Yes, it does work so far, however the 4.1 final version gave me sql errors, the 4.1 beta 5 version seems to work.

I'll check on the js errors, I didn't notice them yet. Guess I'll need to check some more things as the Joomlaconvertion wasn't really flawless. Thanks for looking, Orstio

I uninstalled the mambot, but quoting in ff still isn't working with quick reply enabled. I'm going to reinstall everything tomorrow, both Joomla, SMF and the bridge. Probably something has gone wrong during upload/upgrade then...

No, I meant in the SMF sources...I can't find the doQuote function to see what's going on there....

EDIT -- OK, I found it.  It's in your theme directory, xml_topic.js.

In smf.php, can you find this:

I replaced it, quoting is still not working in FF. Works fine in IE.  I am not able to reproduce any js errors in IE, but I got these in Firefox. Now, my knowledge about javascript is below zero, so I hope these are relevant.

Ok.. here's some groundwork.  I recently migrated form mambo to joomla 1.0.8, and from SMF1.1 B3 to 1.1 RC2
I'm running the latest version of the bridge, and have SEF tuned off.

When I click the "quote" button in someones post the screen drops down to the quick reply box, but doesn't copy the quote into the quick reply box.

The quote DOES work in the normal SMF board without using the joomla/bridge link (i.e. http://www.site.com/forums [nofollow] )

I've dug an error up in IE (error doesn't show in forefox, but it still doesn't copy the text int the quick reply)

I've installed a clean copy of SMF (original forum was in teh /forum folder.. copied a completely new version of SMF into the /forums folder, copied my config.php, updated all the pointers to /forums and still the same error) Only thing I can think is somerthing is tweaked in the bridge/mambo integration.

I've also tried the code change Oristo proposed to no avail.
I am not running discussbot could this make a difference?

Any Ideas on what is causing this?

I have the same problem as of today since I upgraded to 1.1.3 bridge

I tried changing the code in the above post in smf.php but it made no difference, damn this was one thing that was working lol

It is not working in any browsers, and there is an error message at the bottom of IE that says 'errors on page'

When its 'loading' it says 'quote' at the bottom of the screen but the address bar says 'quick reply'

Quote stopped working when I installed the new bridge 1.1.3

Today I made another copy of the default theme, changed the css to the same as the old theme, and the quote is working again

I dont know if that will help anyone but I thought I would just mention it

yup I know it makes no sense since my theme is exactly the same as the one I was using before, but it does work now.

It also had the same effect on the 'jump to' menu which wasnt working before and when I changed theme, suddenly did *shrug*

My thinking is that maybe whatever the bridge is doing, its not doing it to existing themes, if that makes sense, but creating a new theme seems to do the trick.  Sorry I'm not a techie that's just my idea is all

So I dunno, try making a new theme from default and changing the css etc or try uploading another safblue theme maybe with a different name so it doesnt override your safblue theme?

All I know is that my theme I was using when I installed the new bridge doesnt have the quote working but a new copy of default theme with all the changes that makes it *look* just like my old theme, works perfectly even though to the naked eye they are identical, something is different *shrug*
