IPB v1.2 converter question

Ok can someone tell me why the converter.php file will not run for me? I have both the SMF and IPB boards installed in the same db with the same admin name and pass. Uploaded the converter to my smf/forum folder and pointed my browser to it. Nothing happens except it loads the whole script like a text file.  Also my smf version is 1.1 RC2.

Use a different FTP client.  Also use the convert.php file located here.
