Help with 1.07 and bridge

All,
  I am very new at this so plz bear with me. I've just installed SMF 1.07 and am trying to install the 3.19 (also tried with 3.15) bridge from Mambo...I'm grabbing them from this link:

  When I try to upload the package in the package manager, I invariably get this error:

The package you tried to upload either is not a valid package or has become corrupted.

   Please advise.

Which step are you trying to install in the package manager?

I make it as far as Package Manager/Download New Packages/Browse for Package/Upload...when I upload the package I get the afforementioned error.

So you downloaded the bridge, and tried to install the whole thing as a SMF package?

Try unzipping that.  Inside, you will find 4 steps to the installation.
