Ok well I followed the directions on the site.

http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=25718.msg201314#msg201314
The com_smf.zip it tells you to download is a rotten link.

I followed all of the directions I do believe and I got it up halfway and decently running.
I am also having a problem logging in and out. (its not working at all.)

I am pretty sure I have all of the steps right up until I get to theming.

QuoteChanging the SMF doc_type from xhtml to html will handle many of the basic "super
large font" issues.
The can be done by changing the line near the top of index.template.php in your SMF
Theme directory.
However, some of the Mambo/Joomla templates and SMF themes do not play well together.
Did that and still didnt do anything.

QuoteIn the Mambo Template, fixed width templates of less than 500 pixels width are
difficult for SMF to "fit in".
You have two main options.
The first is to increase the basic width of the Mambo/Joomla Template.
-> In MAMBO/templates/TEMPLATE_NAME/index.php, change the width call of the main
table to something larger...
Cant even figure out where in the code to make the table bigger.

I am new to php so if someone is willing to help it would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I never did either one of those and my login and that is fine. I have a small issue with running to many css style sheets thats why the green border and that around joomla but other than that things run good. (Link in my sig.) Did you unpublish the Joomla login and turn off the smf registration ??? I do believe that is part of the bridging process.

mitchell784

Hmm I didnt turn off Simple machines registration but I did turn off the Joomla login and I turned on the mod_smf_login.

I see you have your forums unwrapped that might be easiest for me.

And Orstio I have no idea like I said the link that I clicked to download that zip was bogus so I searched on google till I found one that I thought looked good.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?>
<mosinstall type="component" version="4.5.1">

Thats what it says in my info for the installer thing.

I also have a test site setup so if it comes to a point where someone needs to stick there head in thats cool.
