email notification for pm's in forum

how do i get a email when someone sends me a pm...ive set it thru the profile,thenmanage pm and email's,but i still dont get email notifiation when someone send me or one of my members a new hxxp:pm.is [nonactive] there something i need to do as admiinistrator to allow this feature for members ?thanks

You sure your email program/provider isn't thinking it's spam? That can happen.

1) Check there aren't any mail errors in the error log

2) Make yourself test mail accounts on Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail etc and then send activation e-mails to those addresses.

3) Check that your server isn't on any blacklists (check Spamhaus and Spamcop) using the server IP.
