Purple 'New Posts' indicators

AARRGHHH .. they are doing my eyes in 

They fade too slowly, so that they don't appear to be fading .. I went through three stages :-

• That they menat different things
  
• That my eyes were broken
  
• That my monitor was broken
  
  .. before finally realising 
  
  Any chance you can make the fade a little bit faster .. if only to save my sanity next time .. pleeeeese?

You should have seen them *before* they were speeded up!
