Umm, isn't that Perl?  Or what are you talking about?

Well, files are obviously - or should be - cached by the file system.  At least my trusty Windows XP does this, and if Linux doesn't I will be shocked beyond belief.  As far as output caching, that's not going to happen in 1.0 and I've already said this.

Do you mean to say that it should use DELAYED?  I don't see any big need, I think that would just raise the MySQL requirements and do very little good indeed.
