I have a serious problem [38 days unresolved ]

Logging in to anything on my forum seems to be messed up be it logging into the admin area or logging into my ftp via the Package or to change my chomd options?

I have TRIED every different COOKIE setting as well.

My guess it that perhaps this is a bug in rc2 as i did do the update as well.

Uhuh. Basicly we have no idea what the hell you are talking about. Post a link to your site, or at least give us a screenshot of what is wrong.

The problem is my forum seems to forget my password be it for the forum, the admin panal and my FTP info when i do try to add a package/mod.

Oh and i consider this a serious issue because i have had to disable the admin security so i can still be able to get to it till this issue is resolved.

Do you have the saving of local cookie son? If so disable it.
Do you have subdomain cookies disable it also if you are not on a subdomain.

I have done all of that as well as i SAID AT THE TOP with my INITIAL POST.

And no i have no mods installed.

I meant to post this ages ago but the server is playing up.

Have you tried repair_settings.php incase one of the paths is wrong?

Also if he had called you son that still should not be considered an offence. Where I live (Devon, UK) a lot of people add son to the end of their sentences

it's ok. Probably doesnt help that my patience is running thin because i have been trying to do everything under the son to get this issue fixed. I have lost count now of how many times i have gone and just erased everything and started again. Thankfully it is a new forum/site so i have no worries about loosing members. I just want everything to work properly so i can get going.

Anyways i have NO cookies on.

I had a look and everything worked fine for me.

I changed some cookies settings which could make a difference.

I recommend that you clear you cookies and cache and see if the error persists

Still getting it. But it has helped a little. And yes i deleted all of my cookies on here.

Do you by any chance have cookies disabled? Also PM a test admin account to look into this.
Do you have the same problem using another browser?
