SMF Bridge Component

If the file still exists before you have installed the new bridge, that means that you did not uninstall the component first.  That would be the registration component that is still installed.

You also did not read the readme.html:

Make sure the following folders are writable (chmod 777) before installing the component:
  /components
  /modules
  /mambots/system
  /administrator/components

How to proceed from here:

1) Uninstall the Bridge component.
2) Uninstall the Bridge Registration component.
3) Check to make sure there is no more com_smf_registration folder in your components folder, nor in your administrator/components folder
4) Uninstall the mod_smf_login module.
5) Uninstall the SMF_Headerbot.
6) Make sure that your mambots/system folder is chmod 777
7) Install the com_smf.zip.

Do these steps in this order.  Do not do anything else in between.  Do only the things in these steps.

Right.  I have changed the instructions above for you, just in case the server does not have permission to delete the files and folders for the registration component on uninstall.

You need to make sure that the FOLDER called mambots/system is writable.  Check inside your mambots folder.  There you should find a folder named "system".  That folder needs to be 777.

That would be because you didn't do step 5 above when uninstalling:

Yeah MKPortal used to be installed but then I installed Joomla. I just deleted that whole folder the other day and those images have nothing to do with the theme or skin or templates that I am using now. I dont know why or where those images are being used.

But the template I`m using for Joomla and smf have nothing to do with mkportal so I have no idea why there would be links to images in an mkportal folder or why the theme I am using now inssits on pointing to those images:

If it is hardcoded I didnt do it. I`ve been trying to figure this out for awhile now. Everything looks awesome in FF and Joomla looks good in IE but the forum is a bit broke in IE. I cant re-install the theme cause now its been modified for all my mods and stuff.

The forum looks fine to me (in IE), except for those missing images.

You might want to just set up that directory, and copy those four images over just so it isn't broken until you can figure out why the theme is still looking there for them.

I`ll try and work on it. It`s very perplexing, lol. That is the only graphical error other than now joomla is using the style.css from the forum for some reason. I already fixed that once, now I cant rmeber how. Joomla is supposed to have a green background.

Yeah, that's the SMF_Header_include bot. 

Copy your Joomla CSS into your SMF CSS, and then delete the offending entries.

Can I delete 1 of the SMF_Header_include It doesn`t seem to be creating any problems at all having 2.

The only way to do it correctly now is to go into your jos_mambots table and delete one of the two rows for the bot.

If you just uninstall it, it will delete the bot files, and still leave one row in the mambots table, which you don't want.
