Hi there ppl:

I have installed SMF 1.0.7 and then updated to SMF 1.1RC2 with SUCCESS !!!
I have installed MAMBO 4.6RC1 with SUCCESS !!!
My problems began when i tryed to install the BRIDGE 1.1.4.
When i used the menu on MAMBO to install the component (Installers/Universal) and uploaded the com_smf.zip file , this error appeared:

Fatal: Installer error with /home/clide/public_html/forum/mambo/media/install_4450c1581c9d2/smf.xml: component com_smf SQL error DB function failed with error number 1064
You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'aro_id` `aro_id` INT( 11 ) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT' at line 1 SQL=ALTER TABLE mos_core_acl_aroCHANGE `aro_id` `aro_id` INT( 11 ) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT
SQL =

ALTER TABLE mos_core_acl_aroCHANGE `aro_id` `aro_id` INT( 11 ) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT

Information: This is the bridge component for Simple Machines Forum.

Never the less , it permited me to CONTINUE the installation.
Then i went to the components menu on MAMBO (components/simple machines forum registration) , it appread this error:
Warning: main(/home/clide/public_html/forum/mambo/components/com_smf/language/english.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/clide/public_html/forum/mambo/administrator/components/com_smf_registration/admin.smf_registration.php on line 32

Warning: main(/home/clide/public_html/forum/mambo/components/com_smf/language/english.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/clide/public_html/forum/mambo/administrator/components/com_smf_registration/admin.smf_registration.php on line 32

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '/home/clide/public_html/forum/mambo/components/com_smf/language/english.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/clide/public_html/forum/mambo/administrator/components/com_smf_registration/admin.smf_registration.php on line 32

So i just copied the folder com_smf into ..../mambo/components/... folder and that error dissapeared.

Now , when i use the link on the browser to view the mambo page , it appears this error under the "login section":
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/clide/public_html/forum/mambo/modules/mod_smf_login.php on line 34

What am i doing wrong ? Can someone help this newbie ? Thanks in advance.

Orstio

The bridge has not yet been tested with Mambo 4.6.

BrunoVaz

Thank you for you're reply Orstio.
So , what can i do ? Should i uninstall that bridge and use version 1.1.3 ?
Or can i try to "fix" that bug with you're help ?
aka [PT]CableGuy

BrunoVaz

OK , i've "commented" the following lines on mod_smf_login.php:

## foreach ($variables as $variable){
## $variable_name = $variable['variable'];
## $$variable_name = $variable['value1'];
## }

And i've also added the "correct path" to the SSI.php file.
It seems to work , but now i have TWO LOGIN FORMs. How can i fix this ?

Orstio

Unpublish the default Mambo login form.

That code does more than just get the path to SMF, though...

BrunoVaz

Well , it seems that all my attempts to install the bridge , created duplicates (and triplicates) on the Menus and Module Manager.
I've deleted them and now it seems to be fixed.Thanks for you're help !!!

Warning: Missing argument 6 for moscomponentusermanager() in /home/clide/public_html/forum/mambo/includes/cmtclasses.php on line 154 I presume it's from the $version argument , right ? Can you help me on this ?

***edited***
I've commented the $version argument and the error dissapeared.
I hope my mambo_smf_bridge doesn't cripple , my mambo portal.

Hi again:

Well the errors kept on coming , so i've decided to uninstall mambo 4.6 and try older version.
btw: the last error was related to the "mostlyce component"...just to help on debuging.

Can some one help me finding the RIGHT files to install a mambo portal and integrate it with SMF 1.1RC2 ????
