I have successfully changed the SMf logo to my logo and have included a link to my website.  The code around this part being:

// This part is the logo and forum name.  You should be able to change this to whatever you want...
echo '
<a href="http://www.d-r.co.uk"><img src="', $settings['images_url'], '/smflogo.gif" width="250" style="float: right;" alt="Go to Director Resourcing website" /><a>
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: large;">', $context['forum_name'], '</span>';

All fine apart from I now get a blue border permanently around the logo - I assume this is a css style but I haven't changed anything else in the default template and cannot see how to get rid of it.

My board is at: hxxp:www.d-r.co.uk/SMF/index.php [nonactive]

Any suggestions gratefully received.  Thankyou.
