how do i

i got my forum up and running but is so stuck on how to install this one them.. i am very new to all this kind of stuff -lil sigh- i panick if i dont understand what i am doing


it's the Dark Red theme i am trying to install.. done what was said.. but it comes up as a white background and loads of broken links

any clues to why it is doing that at all?

Which version of SMF are you using? The Dark Red theme is for SMF 1.0.x installs only, not for SMF 1.1 RC2.

Also make sure the files got extracted properly and are in the correct directory. Sometimes the entire folder that the theme is in gets packaged (instead of just the files and folders needed for the theme), which causes problems because SMF is expecting all the files to be directly inside the theme folder (ie Themes/DarkRed/images and not Themes/DarkRed/DarkRed/images).
