moved to new server - things changed - images not

Using 1.1 rc2
I followed the instructions for moving in a thread posted here.
The move went ok.
I did need to change the paths manually  in a few setup areas but I was impressed with the overall ease of transition. 

Thank You for providing such a cool product.

I do have a couple of things that have come up.

I needed to reinstall  the chat mod package...no biggie.
On the package page was a notice to update due to security issues...did that...went wthout a hitch.

I had to go in and re-edit my theme template manually and the changes I made to the CSS styles changedback to the original Classic colors... that was weird as I took al the files off of the old server and put them on the new.
But again...no biggie.

The one issue I have a question about is the fact that attached images are no longer emedded in the posts.  They work as attachments but are not visible in the posts.
I looked at all the forum settings and don't see any glaring issues.
I checked to see if hotlinking was enabled on the server and it is not.

Could this be due to the security update?
Any suggestions?
What am I missing?

I did a search of the fourms before I posted. by the way and I didn't see this issue.

Any help would be appreciated.

I noticed my file versions weren't jibing completely  so I decided to do a fullblown upgrade.
It fixed the picture issue.
When in doubt- update!
