How to strip some parts of information from my forum

Can some one please suggest how to strip off some of the information from my forum. I have attached an image below to show what exactly i want to be done.



1- Remove complete link tree
2- Remove that button on one board, may be a code like if the board is A then do not show the button otherwise show it. (I know what forum A is called, so absolute value can be given, In this case forum A name is "Polls") 
3- Remove the extreme left coulmn and have bigger images for the second coulmn
4- Remove this info all together.
5- Use word "Comment" where ever the word "Post" appear and use word "Poll" where ever the word "Topic" appears. I would love if there is a way to use a simple if condition that If the forum is "Polls" use word "Poll" instead of "Topic" and elseif use word "Gossip" instead of "Topic". 

Some other modifications would be nice but not necessary like.
1- Having the ability to start a poll without any topic text with it. I mean with only poll subject and options without any accompanying topic subject/message.
2- Adding a gap between the very first post and rest of the posts.
