Hover feature in regards to topics

I had a user on my board ask me if, with SMF, when they hover over a topic in a main board, without actually clicking on it if they can see what the post states.  I know other forum software such as I believe vbulletin and maybe even phpbb allows you to do this.  Is this possible with SMF?  Thanks.

There seems to be some type of bug with this mod..It is showing me 2 black squares or more in some of the hovers. For some reason it doesn't like line skips or returns and when you do have returns or your text goes to the next line it adds 2 black blocks How do you make it show more text than the default?
