SMF Version: SMF 1.1 RC2
I have successfully moved SMF to a new server... yippee!
Thansk for all the wonderful advice on these boards... couldn't have done it without you all.
Question -
I also downloaded the newest version of the files and updated the install.
I still have one file that is reporting an older version
Search.template.php   your version 1.0   latest 1.1 RC2
Where can I get the latest version?
thanks much,
auroramae
PS I did search first!

You can get that version of the search template by downloading the install, upgrade or update packages from here.

I did that.
I've uploaded it several times to be sure it is on there.
package folder after unzipping is
smf_1-1-rc2_update
in the second line - the file says
Version: 1.1 RC2; Search
hmmmm
Will try again.  This time I'm deleting that stubborn thing instead of overwriting it.

Update.
deleted the file from the server.
Uploaded again.
Still same message -  version 1.0

After you upload the file, download it to a different location on your computer.  Is the file version 1.0?

I can view and edit the file's code directly in my FTP program
It says
Version: 1.1 RC2; Search
but it reports 1.0 in the version check.

If you aren't using an RC2 theme, you won't have the most current theme files.  You must use an RC2 compatible theme.

Thanks, I see that now.
I didn't see the search template listed in the classic theme.
I thought it was defaulting.
