2. SMF 1.0.7 / 1.1 RC2 Update 1.0

SMF Version: SMF 1.1 RC2
I am trying to apply the mod for SMF 1.0.7 / 1.1 RC2 Update      1.0 from the package manager and I get the error msg below.

An Error Has Occurred!
You cannot download or install new packages because the Packages directory or one of the files in it are not writable!

What files do I need to CHmod to make this work?

You need to chmod your /Packages folder to 777.

Ok i tried that, and now all the files and folders in side packages and 777.  Still get the same error msg.  Is there some files somewhere else I need to chmod as well?

Strange. Download the update locally, unzip the files and that will complete the update.

Odd that your having problems using the package manager though. Permission problems are generally down the incorrect permissions for the folder or files it wishes to change.

The above will update your forum though and fix the patch.
