IPB 2.1.3 conversion with no Boards, BBC or Smiley gets converted

Hi,

I've tried to convert someone's IPB 2.1.3 forum to SMF 1.1 RC2

Since I'm a local moderator to give support, I've already aware of how to convert various forums to SMF. But this one gets strange.

I've used 1.1 converters, 1.1 RC2 beta converter, Oldiessman's last IPB converter, and so on. I always have a problem in a poll. When I delete that poll from IPB installation, the conversion completes with lots of warnings, but no errors.

Yet, the boards and categories don't want to get converted. There is no board in SMF after conversion. When I use find and repair, I get a ton of salvaged boards. That's not a big deal, since they can be renamed.

Yet, I can't get smilies, bbcodes and images converted. This really annoys the owner of that forum. This is our main problem.

I don't know if there are other problems yet, but these ones are enough for that guy to hate me

I have a link to the db dump, if anyone who is good about writing converters can help me convert the db, or actually convert it =)

What errors/warnings do you get? That converter was modified from the IPB 2.0.x converter using an IPB 2.1.3 database dump, so I don't really know why you'd be getting errors.

these are typical text in the new SMF forum. It seems bbcode and quotes have strange problems.

Found a bug that was causing the problems with the colorc.

I'll see what I can do about the quotes. I guess the "snapback" mode is optional, because I've seen quotes both ways in IPB 2.

Ok. I added another thing to handle the snapback tags (I think - not sure if those are HTML or bbcode) and fixed a minor bug with the closing color tag. Let me know if this fixes the issues.

It's really too bad that IPB is closed-source. In this case it would be extremely helpful to have the IPB code in front of me so I could see the exact code they're using to replace the html with bbcode.

EDIT: Just found a copy of IPB 1.3 on the web. This should come in handy

For some reason I was thinking that IPB 2.1.3 (full version) was encoded, but now that I think about it, it's only the "trial" version. Go ahead and PM me. I'm not sure what file I need exactly. In IPB 1.3.x, it's sources/lib/post_parser.php.

I'll get on this soon. I've been busy working on the SMF+G2 integration. If I get a chance this weekend, I'll work on this, otherwise it will be next week sometime.

i would also like to note, it is not just the  [ quote] with snapback that aren't working, but also [ code] bbcodes on the latest converter version. For me, anyways.
