Forum Rank Images aka Stars

It would be great if there was only one location for ranks rather than having the same rank in multiple areas.

For example you could have the structure could be:
{rootdir}/images/ranks

Avatars could even be moved to the images folder:
{rootdir}/images/avatars

This would make using custom ranks much more simple to manage. It would also cut out alot of the same image files from being populated every where.

I don't like the idea of only being able to have one type of rank for every theme.

I understand what you mean. However, if people really wanted to have different ranks per theme they could still do so by having the theme dir under ranks and set the input box to {themedir}/star22.gif or what ever the case may be so the path would end up being {rootdir}/images/ranks/{themedir}/star22.gif or for a standard look {rootdir}/images/ranks/star22.gif.

This could even be the default setup but it would give people the option of setting up their site to reflect their way of doing things. Most gaming communities that have a rank system use a standard ranking system.
