Changing the template

Hi, well i am the owner of impureflash.com and have installed simplemachines forum and they are great, but i have struck a problem when i go to change the temple it says no template found on this server, were as it is there, can anyone help?

Also i am trying to upgrade from 1.5 to 1.7 but it won't work

What exactly did you do when you attempted to install a new theme?

went into the new themes manager and then typed in the link www.impureflash.com/bbs/Themes/amber11r1 and then it said that it cannot be found even though it is there.

It needs to be on absolute path form..not "www" form.

When you go into "install new theme" section, you should see a long path there, ending with "Themes/". Just add "amber11rc1" to it..or your theme folder name of course. Then press install.

Thankyou for your quick responses, but it doesnt want to work i typed in the absolute path

/home/onnet/public_html/bbs/Themes/amber11r1

and then clicked install and it said it doesnt exist, when it clearly does

hm. Strange. Have you checked that the name is in correct case?

yes, could it be that i have not got the most up to date smf? I am also finding it hard to upgrade to the newest version aswell

Well, kind of...I see that you are indeed trying to install a SMF 1.1 RC1 theme in SMF 1.0.5, that alone will give problems with it. Amber is only made for 1.1 line.

But if that is the main reason I am not sure..have you tried other themes? that are meant for 1.0.5-1.0.7?
