IPB 1.3 to SMF 1.0.7 (Using SQL Backup)

Hi there and thanks in advance.

I am new to SMF and I used to use IPB 1.3 My host moved servers on me and I cant access my IPB forum.

I did however manage to get the full sql backup.

My question is how would I go about in converting my sql for IPB to SMF if someone can assist it would be great.

I did look through the search but couldnt find anything that could help.

First you'll need to restore the IPB SQL backup to a database. And install SMF into the same database. After that, create a fake IPB config file (upload the file attached) with the database information of the database in which both IPB and SMF are installed now. Then download the IPB converter from this topic, upload it, and run the conversion. After that you can delete the fake config file and the IPB entries in the database.
