Cant get past "Basic Settings" to install forum ? ? ?

I fill in everything I need to fill in & hit the proceed button & it keeps bringing me back to the same page. Time after time.

Anyone out there to help me??

you have a mysql database set up
a user for that database
how about file permissions, they good?

what version of smf are you trying to install. Does it give an error when it returns to the page?

I am running the 1.1r2c. My brother in law loaded the files onto his server. I think it has to do with naming the MySQL database or 1 of the other MySQL files. I dont know really too much about this so I have to wait & see if he knows how to get this fixed.

Does it give you any errors when the page reloads? Make sure that all of the MySQL info is correct.

Oldie, the server is being upgraded with a newer version of MySQL right now. he is pretty sure that is why its not taking. Hopefully thats it. If not, I will let you know.
