Moved Hosts - Forum Broken

Hi Folks, hopefully someone can help.  I'm changing hosts and so far the site is half up, but it looks as if SMF is well broken.  I'm using Orstios bridge.

Can anyone advise?

When you turned on SEF, you did not rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess.

There is also something wrong with your stand alone forum:

Connection Problems
Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later.

I've turned SEF off now for handiness sake.  I'm still getting the errors though.  Any other thoughts?

download and run repair_settings.php

That's it!  Seems to be working, so I've put the request in to get my domain switched over.
