Will SMF 1.1 RC 2 Be Upgradable?

I am using and modifying SMF 1.1 RC 2 ..when the next version comes out will i be able to just upgrade it thru the admin ..like plug and play?

Is there an ETA for full public version (like SMF 1.2 - no RC or beta)?

Youll be able to upgrade but probably not through the admin panel but it will be just as simple a matter of clicking next a few times.

The next public version currently named "SMF Development Edition" is still being written and is very young in its life so it may take a while before we see any releases of that. 1.1 Final is not far off though

yea that is what i mean 1.1 final ..will that be upgradable thru the admin panel...?

i am wondering if i will have redo all the work (mod/hacks) i am doing on SMF 1.1 RC 2

Sadly not, but with the package manager you should be able to re-apply your mods easily. You may not in future like to use RC/Beta releases to minimize upgrades that break your mods, Big releases that need the proper upgrades will only come around once a year.
