Subscriptions

Is there a working subscription mod somewhere, or are there any plans to add a subscription feature to SMF? This issue actually has me looking a bit at vBulletin, which I originally hated because of their support personnel. But the popularity of my forum has me considering a "donation" feature.

I encourage you to put this atop your to-do list.

In my field forums are either going subscription or talking about it. The costs of running a forum necessitate this as an option at the least.
