Hi,

After bridging joomla 1.0.8 with SMF 1.0.7 with 3.19a, and using the hacks from the combined forum, (and making everything work!! :) ) the width of the forum has become shorter and everything is squeezed. Is there an easy way to fix it?

In addition, information are repetitve with both the bridge login and SMF login. Anyway way of getting rid of one when on the forum page when wrapped in Joomla?

well, to answer your second question first....   edit index.template.php in your smf theme directory...  comment out or conditional out (if/else) the login form, etc...

as for your first question...  url?

My url is www.emuscat.com [nofollow]

And i would appreciate if u could be a little more specific on the second question. It sucks to say this, but i don't know any programming. Do you mind giving the code to do that? :)

And I also noticed that through SMF new users can still register even though global settings was set to not allow new registration.

Thanks Kindred.

if you make your settings so that new users can not register, that means that users can not register on your system at all...      with the bridge, you need to have the registration and login settings THE SAME between joomla and SMF.

Chadness wrote a tutorial on how to change index.template.php...

and, what is wrong with your forum layout?   Seems to be working fine for me...  granted, the default SMF theme doesn't really match the green madeyourweb joomla template, so try one of the themes by Xenovanis...  longgreen or portalgreen2 matches fairly nicely...

I would, however, like to see the code you used to add in the A+ A- RESET section!   that is cool and some of my users could definitely use that function.

Thanks for the link. I'll check it out.

As for my width problem, it seems to have fixed itself!! Its weird how that happened, but i'm happy it did! And I do want to change the template i'm using, i just have to copy the codes i've added to it to the other templates.

Here is a link to get the Font rezise module. Its really cool and so easy to install.
