Database Error

Hello to any who can help me out here...  I just finished installing and setting up the forum software on my site and whenever i click on a board to post i get this error

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ' 1, 5)' at line 3
File: /forum/Sources/MessageIndex.php
Line: 102

My site is hosted with yahoo and I am quite the noob at the database stuff. I have no idea where to even start =(. 

When I click on a board without being logged in (as Guest) it will show the page.  but when I add posting permissions for users not logged in, I get the same error message. =(.

well, i decided to screw around a bit.. and appearently by optimizing the database.. it fixed it. Ill post more info if i have more problems with it =)
