Attachments not working after upgrade.

SMF Version: SMF 1.1 RC2

After upgrading to SMF 1.1 RC2 no users (not even admin) is able to attach any type of file.  Here is the error message that occurs:

Your attachment couldn't be saved. This might happen because it took too long to upload or the file is bigger than the server will allow.

Please consult your server administrator for more information.

I made sure the settings under Admin->Attachments and Avatars are correct.  I also manually made sure the permissions are correct in the Attachments directory.  I tried changing the slashes to the opposite direction (this is a windows host).  I tried uploading attachments with several different user accounts and none of them worked.  It appears that the upload function is working as bigger files take longer than smaller files to generate the error.  I did the maintain files and there are no errors.  I increased the size of the folder limit and it still doesn't work.

Any ideas?


Update:It seems that uploading avatars works.  Avatars are currently being uploaded to the same directory as post attachments. Hope that helps to narrow it down a bit more.

That is a bit odd that uploading attachments won't work but the rest does. Make sure the file size doesn't exceed the upload_max_filesize value in php.ini...

It is okay there.  Plus, I have tried uploading an attachment that is only 4kb and it still doesn't work.  I can upload an avatar just fine.  I try to upload the same file in a post and it doesn't work...    What is going on here? It used to work fine.

I have absolutely the same problem. (Before upgrade it work perfect  )
Even more: it's impossible to download avatars at the server

is your attachment directory properly chmoded?
or do you keep avatars and attachments in the same folder.

I tried 777 and 775 - nothing changes

Yes, It works.
I asked my hoster and he help to make changes in php.ini: upload_tmp_dir .
