resizing forum window

Hi

I have a copy of SMF 1.1 rc2 thats integrated into a joomla website.  I'm using a slightly edited version of the Nothea theme and everything works fine size wise when in admin mode.  However if you look at the main window, the one that appears if you follow the main link from the joomla menu 'forum', the screen goes sort of huge, doesnt seem to be taking a % of the screen from anywhere in the code..



Does anyone have any idea where in code that this might be happening? I've had a trawl through all of the files but can't see anywhere obvious.
