SMF 1.1 RC2
Joomla 1.0.8
Bridge 1.14
mod_smf_showcal.php  (1.2)

Still trying to figure out how to get the mini cal overlib to pop up to the left instead of outside  of   the right margin. What file do I need to look in?

I've never been able to give my SMF users log ins in joomla.  I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
I'vee read the step by steps I've come across on these forums and I get locked out.

Any help with these two issues would be greatly appreciated.

If I put the calendar in the left side it widens the column too much.
It looks good on the right but the overlibs hang over to necessitate scrolling.
I'm being too picky!

well, there will be a certain minimum width required for the calendar to FIT in a column....

as for the overhang on the right, you are correct...  it does hang over. You could play with the positioning of the pop-up divs in the module file code...

In general, I assumed that people would be placing the calendar (as I do) in a bottom or top full- or half-main width position... lol

I'm not complaining -- absolutely love the calendar.  It is perfect for the site.
I am not great with code and I admire and appreciate all of you geniuses.
I read that it should have at least 200px available...and it is squeezed on my site.
I will try to edit the module's css as suggested.
Thanks  so much for your help and taking the time to look into it.

one more really dumb question about the calendar.
I can't figure out which files to edit.  The ones in the forum or the ones on joomla.
I am thinking  SMF becasue the calendar is pullled from SMF, but I don't see references to the overlib.  In joomla the references all seem to be for the calendar that was packaged with joomla.
There is one line in the SMF CSS regarding the calendar and it is about today's background color. Should I make a new entry in the SMF CSS?

Sorry to be so dense.

no...  actually the DIVs are defined right in mod_smf_showcal.php  (it's part of an internal javascript, not the joomla overlib which might conflict with some other uses of the overlib)

I tweaked that a bit already and I couldn't get it to go left.
Then I completely trashed it!
So I gave up.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
Good luck with your project.
Thanks for all of your help.
