Last posts in wrapper?

Since SMF doesn't support utf8, I had to place it into wrapper to remain integrated into our web site.

Yet, I have a problem with the module "recent post", because the links would go toward the component (bridge)... and the character mess starts again...

How to change the links in that module so that it works inside the wrapper? If ever possible.
