Jake uses your simple machines forum but...

 Ok there is this guy jake, and he said that he would host a simple machines forum for some money, so I agreed. but well he is kinda making money out of this fourm stuff you made. And well there was this other site called Dspwners. Well they were from Invisiion free but jake said he would host it so he agreed, for free. Then one day me and this owner from dspwners and one of our admins wanted to create our own site. So we were. Then Jake found out and threatend to sue. Then Ds fan switched back. Then Jake said more stuff about suing. I think thats how it went, (Dsfan is the owner of ds pwenrs and he may be able to talk to you.) Then he said he was going to get out Ip or someting. He might of thought we did something illeagle. Even though we didnt. So our internet could be gone. So Dsfan finnaly closed dspwners. And it was mostly jakes fault. He tried to take over it too. Oh and he signed in for ours for our site..

Maybey you should ban him from simple machines. Or at least talk to him..

Oh jake was the host of dsfans and mine sites. So I guess he was kinda the owner.

Oh Dsfan told jake to delete his forum, but that probably because of all the sueing stuff.

I guess Jake can charge for hosting, but well he ruined Dspwners and did some threats. Not killing threats..

Firstly, Jake using any SMF product does not mean he has to be registered here on the SMF community forums and SMF developers do not dictate as to how or where their software is being used.
Secondly, I'm not sure what exactly is going on, but there is no way Jake can sue you if he doesn't have a contract with you guys, I guess he is upset you aren't using his hosting anymore, but there is nothing anyone here can do about it either.
And SMF itself doesn't have any advertisements, we can't know about the hosting company being used.
