fetch issues

Hi  all thanks for helping out in advance:


I am getting a lot of errors like
Warning: mysql_fetch_array()...
or
Warning: mysql_fetch_rows()...

I can only guess that my SQL statement is bringing no data into the fetch functions.  But i really dont see why. My guess is that the bridge for SMF is not recognizing the change in database change for users. Please give me some educated/expereinced guesses while I try to figure it out. 

My most recent one was:
Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/joonmed/public_html/nepalunited/modules/mod_smfRecentPosts.php on line 37
