replies loading slow

SMF Version: SMF 1.0.7
Hello:

I have smf installed on a few of my members sites, they are all complaining of the pages loading slow, this only happens when there is alot of replies, like 10 or more, it has taken up to 5 minutes for the post and replies to show up, this only happens with smf, invision,phpbb,fusion has not got that problem

Is there anything I can do to increase the loading time?

i am using dell xeon server (2.8ghz) 2 gig ram, unlimited mysql connections

any help would be apprciated

keep in mind there is really no such thing as unlimited mysql connections. At some point they will hinder server performance. Have you read and tried the steps in the performance sticky?
