Related to Bug: New password emails not sending.

Good day,

I checked out the bug and solution at:

But I still have a problem.

When the password is resetted, the user then changes there password via joomla.

Is there a way when the user clicks on "Forgot Password" they can be redirected to the password reminder email at:

hxxp:sjiyf.org/forum/index.php?action=reminder [nonactive]



Because when they change there password through Joomla, it does not take effect in SMF.


Please help.

You have a number of problems on your site that are probably just related to your lack of understanding of what is happening.

First, you are using the Joomla wrapper component, not the bridge component to display the forum.  That is going to cause you problems with a number of things, including the password reset problem.

Second, you seem to believe that the reset password link takes you to the Joomla reset password, which it does not.  It takes you here:

http://sjiyf.org/index.php?option=com_smf_registration&task=lostPassword

which is the bridge reset password link, which does update both Joomla and SMF with the new password.
